Essence's Soft Touch Mousse

I've been reading a lot or review about Essence Cosmetics since they launched here in the Philippines this year. (not sure with the exact date) Essence Cosmetic is one of  Europe's affordable drugstore cosmetics. I saw Essence in SM Dept. Store MOA. I'm eyeing their foundation line specifically their matte ones because I'm just so freaking oil all over and only matte foundations are the ones that I prefer.

I first checked on their Clear and Matt Liquid Foundation and swatch it at the back of my hand and it blended well, it was shade 01. Then their sales assistant came up to me and advised me to try their mousse foundation. We swatch shade 01, it blended well also but she advised me to take shade 02 which was matt beige because I would give me more coverage compared to shade 01 because it's a shade darker.

Essence Soft Touch Mousse
Price: Php 289
16g

The product looks a little bit darker than my skin tone but matches well when blended.

What I like about the product:
Ofcouse, it's affordability
Product dries to a matte finish without actually having to put powder to set
You'll get enough product from the container
The packaging is not so big, You'll be able to carry it anywhere

What I dislike about the product:
none :)

What more can you ask for? affordable makeup with good quality! :)

Brush Inspiration

I've been checking out whattinaloves almost everyday for updates on her blog. I just simply adore her blog; and just last Monday she talked about her collection of brushes:

Real Techniques Brushes – Core Collection, Starter Set, Travel Essentials Set, Duo Fiber Set and some individual brushes!

( This Photo is from whattinaloves )

I was inspired to collect these brushes too! They were so beautiful and I like how the brushes look dense in the pictures. I'm loving the colors too. I'm doing some research about these brushes and Hopefully, I'll be able to try it for myself as well.

SNOE Emu.Lite BB Cream Review

My boyfriend and I were strolling around Robinsons Manila and we passed by Cinderella and I remember wanting to buy Stem Cell Sunblock and Awesome Poresome Scrub but instead of getting the sunblock and the scrub, I got to buy Snoe's Emu.Lite BB Cream and Snoe's Calamansi Detox Clay Mask. (which I've been dying to try)

I had a hard time choosing whether to get the Emu.Lite BB Cream or the Poudre Synthesis BB Liquid Powder Base. I was attracted to Poudre Synthesis' claims of having a Matte Finish because I find my skin type very oil. but then the sales assistant there advised me to get the Emu.Lite because it has more skin benefit than the other. and so, I purchased the product together with the Calamansi Detox Mask which I've been eyeing for such a long time.

So, enough of my chika.

Here's the Snoe Emu.Lite Bb Cream :)
Price: 799 Php
40g

I'm glad that it has Emu oil as one of its ingredients because I've read a lot of raves about Emu Oil.

Directions:
Gently apple the cream by placing a pea-sized amount on the tips of your fingers and spread evenly on your face in an upward and outward motion. Can be used on top of Snoe's Emu-based line of products.

Here's the product sans the box :) I love Snoe's Packaging but I'd love it more if it was in a pump glass bottle  for more sanitation.
tip:  you'll should be getting only small amount of the cream. When I first used this product, I got a lot of amount and apply the cream immediately in my face and ended up looking like a geisha. haha So, I had to wash my face again and apply another with a small amount of product.

Here a small amount at the back of my hand, I believe that this cream has a pink undertone. (correct me if i'm wrong :p)

This photo was taken after I blended the product, the upper photo was taken without flash and the lower photo was taken with flash and unfortunately, it had somewhat a white cast :(

Likes about the product:
I like how it blended well with my skin.
I like the packaging however, i'd like it more if it was in a pump bottle.
it has a lot of skin benefits
it has SPF 30
i like the smell of the product

Dislikes about the product:
when photo was taken with flash, it had a white cast
the price was not that affordable

Now, I'm on a hunt for Poudre Synthesis, I would like to know which is better :)

How about you? Have you tried Emu.Lite?
Let me hear about it :)

Maybelline's BABY SKIN Pore Eraser

Have you tried Maybelline's BABY SKIN Pore Eraser?

The physical appearance of this product first caught my attention when I saw it in the Maybelline Facebook Page. Who doesn't love products with cute packaging right?

I immediately checked the price and I was surprised that this product only retails for Php 299. Very affordable! :)

When I went to SM San Lazaro Department Store, I checked their Maybelline counter, good thing they had stock of Baby Skin Pore Eraser because I heard that the product is always out of stock in other Maybelline counters. I bought it during San Lazaro's 5-day sale but unfortunately this product is not included.
Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Price: Php 299
22 ml

"ByeBye
Pores
Hello Poreless
Baby Smooth
Skin!"

(back of the product)

"Instructions:
Apply all over face or on concerned areas.
Suitable for all skin tones and types.
Mistake Proof.
No mirror need.
Does not clog pores.
So light, you forget it's on."

I used the Pore Eraser right after my moisturizer (Celeteque Sun Care Matte Moisturizer) dried. The Pore Eraser did not "erase" my pores rather it did minimize the appearance of my pores, it made my face smooth and made the application of my powder foundation a lot easier. The pore eraser controlled the oil in my face but only for a short period of time due to the excess oiliness of my face. I think this product will perform well on those who doesn't have very oily skin type.

"INSTANTLY
On contact, translucent gel melts on skin and instantly erase pores, imperfections, lines, and creases. Skin looks instantly transformed into a perfect smooth canvas.

The secret?
Cherry extracts, known for their antioxidant properties."

I've searched a bit about health benefits of Cherry extracts.

"Black cherry extract, for example, is used to prevent certain types of arthritis and reduce inflammation.
Anthocyanins in black cherry extract can also provide health benefits to those who suffer from arthritis by reducing the pain and inflammation of the disease.
Black cherry extract also has antioxidant health benefits. Some studies suggest that the levels of antioxidants found in cherry juice are five times higher than they are in other fruits and vegetables. "

Likes about the product:
*the product is very affordable at 299 pesos
*the product has no scent which i prefer when it comes to cosmetics
*super cute packaging
*the product makes skin smooth which makes it a good primer

Dislikes about the product:
* the oil control of the product

Have you tried Baby Skin Pore Eraser?
How did it performed on your skin? I'd love to hear from you! :)

(I will post pictures of myself soon using the product)
